This is important! On Minnesota ballots we are given the opportunity to renew the constitutional amendment for funding the Environment and Natural Resources Trust Fund Renewal. This has been part of our constitution since 1988. This is good for Minnesota, but if you leave the option blank, it's considered a "no" vote. Choose "Yes"!
"Shall the Minnesota Constitution be amended to protect drinking water sources and the water quality of lakes, rivers, and streams; conserve wildlife habitat and natural areas; improve air quality; and expand access to parks and trails by extending the transfer of proceeds from the state-operated lottery to the environment and natural resources trust fund, and to dedicate the proceeds for these purposes?"
The Environment and Natural Resources Trust Fund (ENRTF) was established following voter approval of a constitutional amendment in 1988. The money in the Trust Fund is generated by the Minnesota State Lottery.
