The Funderburg House

This 1906, 8,000 square foot mansion was built by Belvidere native Katherine Rhinehart and purchased in the 1930's by Hugh and Alice Funderburg.

It is now open for tours, rentals, and events. Stop by to visit!

Clue and Fondue is back on July 19 from 7-10pm with a new magical theme: The Wizard of Oz! Dress as your favorite character from the Emerald City as you solve the mystery at The Funderburg House! Enjoy cheese and chocolate fondue with your teammates as you review clues and find the murderer! Tickets cost $40 per person and can be purchased at the museum or online using the link in the bio.

Come check out this fun and unique experience!

We have a busy week ahead of us! First, on July 10 at 6pm, join us for an encore presentation of Carol Rowe's lecture on Belvidere's historic homes! This is a second chance to hear the history of so many iconic Belvidere homes. The lecture costs $5 for museum members and $10 for non-members.

Then, on Friday, July 11 from 6-10pm, come to the museum for a movie night! We will be showing a family friendly movie in the Grand Gallery and completing the night with a scavenger hunt of the museum. Bring your flashlights, a favorite snack, and a blanket to our museum movie night! While this is a free event, we are asking that you RSVP. You can find the event page on Eventbrite.

After the movie night, help solve the mystery at The Funderburg House on July 19 from 7-10pm! Gather your team of detectives for Clue and Fondue. This Wizard of Oz themed event is sure to knock your ruby slippers off with fun twists, lots of food, and signature drinks at the cash bar. The event costs $40 per person and you can purchase tickets at the museum or on Eventbrite using the link in the bio.

Browse local art vendors and enjoy their beautiful art work on Sunday, June 8th from 11am-3pm. This event is free to attendees. Are you interested in having a booth at the art fair?
