We’re on the hunt for a headliner for Light Up the Valley 2026! 🎆🎤

Know someone who would be perfect on stage? Or have a favorite act you'd love to see in Bellville, OH? Let us know!

Thank you for supporting Light Up the Valley. We had another amazing year and will continue to do so with your support. We have an amazing committe that works great together and after many days of planning brings it all to life! The most asked question or complaint we hear is, "why is the event always on a Sunday?" There are many factors that went into our decision. Let us explain our reasoning behind it.

-Sundays are typically more laid back days for families. A lot of people work on Saturdays or they are comsumed with sporting events or other obligations.

-It is easier to find entertainment to schedule on Sunday because a lot of times, their schedules are busy with other events.

-We couldn't have the food vendors we have because of other events already scheduled in our area. We have had conversations with many of them and seen their calendars and they wouldn't be able to come on a Saturday.

-The cost from the fireworks company is lower because it is not a prime day.

-We can not have the event on the actual 4th because of labor costs for the people that work to keep the event safe.

The first year Light up the Valley was planned, we had no clue how big of an event it would become. We chose Sunday, because we didn't want to compete or interrup family traditions in the nearby communities. We have attached a picture of just a portion of events from around the area going on this month. It doesn't even include the Ashland Balloon Festival or many others.

For these multiple reasons we decided after the first year, we would continue to always have it the Sunday before the 4th. We are already planning Light up the Valley 2026 for June 28th, and hope to see you there!
