Working on a new Willdabeast EP for 2027, and this one is going to be wild. Traversing new soundscapes from new to old, but mostly just out-there explorations in sound and contemplation.

I’ve been sitting a lot with myself lately, while Dan has been on hiatus, so this one is mostly just me (Will). There are a couple samples from him that I scoured for over the years for one of the tracks, but I feel it’ll be an interesting EP nonetheless.

One track is from a long time ago that I resurfaced and just didn’t want to let go of. Another tune was a collab that I got permission to remove the collaborator from, because it wasn't perfect (sometimes it just goes that way) so I kept my parts and rebuilt the entire tune because, again, I just didn’t want to let go of it. The third one is a brand new tune I wrote on the road, mostly in airports, on flights, and in hotel rooms while traveling this past year, because being sober can be a little isolating so sometimes I keep to myself and when the lights go down I get back to work.

Excited to share this one with you.

I also got this one mastered via a new technique: analog mastering with Jeremy Costa at Backward Clock Sound, which helped unify everything and bring it more to life with some added depth and warmth.

I felt really attached to some of these songs. It’s like a mini version of our catalog all wrapped into one. An oldie, a middle, and a brand new one, but all with some fresh flavor.

It should be out sometime next year on the label, Grand Alliance Music, as well as our first single, another brand new “airport tune,” on a different label other than our own. Announcement coming soon.

For the first time in forever.
