The Career Expo and Job Fair held at Lied Activity Center in Bellevue yesterday was a wonderful example of a community at work to better its resident’s lives.
The opportunities for employment are out there for students, separating military members and the general public.
I had many wonderful conversations with businesses as I walked around before and after my phone ran out of power. (see video)

OPPD - field collectors, plant operators and more
Kiewit - construction workers, machine operators, labor
Nye - CNA, housekeeping, culinary
And so many more are hiring.

A little paint and some sweet rides on a chilly day.
I suggested that they should put a card on each vehicle that states what gas prices were when the vehicle was made. Talk about sticker shock. 😳😬😆

Over 140 men got their PSA tested today at the 14th Annual Cruising for a Cure.
Why do I share this here? Because Prostate cancer isn’t funny and catching it early can give you more years to laugh - and that brings joy to the ones you love.

Ladies, tomorrow, tell your guy you’re taking him to an amazing car show and while you’re there have him get a PSA test for Prostate cancer. Sounds a little sneaky but if it will save his life, he’ll thank you later. You’ll thank yourself also.

Today at the Sickle Cell Walk, I was asked to paint something I had never been asked to paint before - vegetables. Since it was before I actually had to start painting, I took the challenge. I love my veggies and the paint turned out okay too.
