I had a great time working with Michelle. It’s so much fun capturing someone who’s clearly great at what she does, every pose, every look, just pure confidence. She brought so much energy to every single shot.

People judge you in about 3 seconds online, before they read a single word.
Personal branding is simply how you present yourself to the world: the image, tone, and story that come across before anyone actually talks to you. It’s the visual version of your reputation. Your photo is doing the talking before you even get the chance to. So it needs to say what you want it to say.
It doesn’t matter if you’re a business professional, a realtor, an attorney, an influencer, or anything in between. If people are going to look you up, your photo needs to look like you.
Still using a headshot from 5+ years ago (or a cropped group photo )? Let’s fix that. Send me a message and let’s get you a photo that actually looks like you now.

This is what a business portrait can look like. Business portraits do not need to be a plain smile against a white backdrop, but can be a real portrait with mood, dimension, and presence. Business portraits cover headshots, executive branding, LinkedIn photos, website images, press photos, and marketing materials. They’re built around who you are, they are not a one-size-fits-all pose. Dramatic lighting like this works for executives, attorneys, physicians, and business owners who want their image to say something beyond “professional.” What do you think about this type of business portrait? Are you ready to update your own headshot?

Let’s talk about ERAS headshots. Program directors are reviewing hundreds of applications, often in just a few seconds each. Your photo is doing a lot of work before anyone reads a single word of your application and a genuine, warm smile makes a real difference. It signals confidence and approachability, and it makes you memorable in a stack of faces that can start to blur together.

This is also exactly why a professional headshot matters. It’s not just about a nice camera. It’s about lighting that’s flattering and consistent, direction that helps you relax into a natural expression instead of a stiff “photo face. A phone selfie or a photo cropped from a group shot just can’t compete with that, and residency applications are way too important to leave to chance.

Your ERAS photo is one of the first impressions you get to make. Make it count.

As a realtor, your photos show up everywhere, your listings, business cards, yard signs, Zillow, LinkedIn, Instagram, and your website. They’re doing a lot of work before a client ever meets you in person, so they should actually look like you on your best day.

I got to photograph Alaina, a realtor at a recent branding workshop. Wardrobe matters more than people think.
Alaina came in with polished business attire, and it made a real difference. Clean lines and solid colors always photograph so much better than busy patterns, and the right outfit instantly reads as put-together and trustworthy.

If it’s been a few years (or you’re still using photos from your first year in the business), it might be time for an update. Reach out to me to discuss your branding session and how we can elevate your brand and business.

I’m so glad that I had the chance to work with Elle. She was an absolute rockstar in front of the camera, and this was only one set from the session.

This is what happens when someone stops overthinking the camera and just shows up as themselves. A little direction, good lighting, and by the end of the session, you can see the confidence set in.

That’s really the difference a customized branding session makes. It’s not about looking perfect, it’s about having photos that actually feel like you, ready to use on your website, LinkedIn, or anywhere people go to check you out first.

Your photo is doing the talking before you even say a word. It’s often the first impression a client, employer, or connection has of you, before they ever meet you in person. We’re not just taking a photo, we’re building the visual version of how you want to be seen: confident, approachable, and exactly like you on your best day.

Sessions can go with one look or multiple looks. With this session, we went with a few: a casual top and pants for something warm and personal, a suit shot indoors for a real estate or corporate feel, and that same suit again outdoors, giving it a more relaxed, editorial feel while still looking sharp.

Same person, three completely different uses: one for social, one for a real estate profile or LinkedIn, one for something a little more elevated.

That’s the value of a branding session, you leave with photos that actually fits wherever you’re showing up online.

If your current profile photo is a cropped vacation pic or a selfie from 2019, let’s talk. I’m currently booking branding sessions throughout NYC and Long Island.

A reminder that graduation portraits don’t have to be outdoors. Studio sessions create a clean, timeless look that keeps the focus on the graduate. Congratulations again, and thank you for trusting me to capture this special moment.
