Here’s a quick update from the Special Events Committee chair, Antonio DeViva:
Good morning, Belle Isle!
We have a great event season ahead of us, and I’m really looking forward to what we can do together as a community. Our next event is Boo!gie on the Bridge on October 28th, and we’re working to make this one something special.
One of the things I’m personally working to bring to this year’s event is a laser light show over the bridge.
It’s the kind of experience I think our families will remember, and it would give Boo!gie on the Bridge a little something extra that you don’t get to see every day in Belle Isle.
There’s just one problem: the city’s event budget doesn’t have enough room to cover it.
That’s where our local businesses can make a real difference.
If you own a business in Belle Isle or the surrounding area, I’d love to talk with you about becoming a Boo!gie on the Bridge sponsor. Your sponsorship could help make the laser light show possible while putting your business directly in front of the families and neighbors who make up our community.
This isn’t just about putting a logo on a banner. It’s about helping us create an experience that people will remember and associate with the businesses that helped make it happen.
And if you’re not a business owner but still want to get involved, we need volunteers too. The Special Events Committee is always looking for residents who want to roll up their sleeves, meet their neighbors, and help make Belle Isle’s events something our community can be proud of.
I’ve spent a lot of time working behind the scenes on city events. This year, I’m stepping out a little more and inviting you to be part of it with me.
If you’re interested in sponsoring an event, volunteering, or just want to talk about how you can get involved, reach out to me directly at [email protected]
Let’s see what we can make happen together.
