There is almost nothing more important than making sure a child never has to wonder where their next meal will come from.

As Feeding America reminds us, 1 in 5 children in America face food insecurity. That’s a reality no child should have to experience, especially during the summer months when school meals aren’t always available.

Because of the incredible support of our community, we’re proud to launch THM’s Summer Lunch Initiative!

Starting today, any person experiencing food insecurity can stop into THM and simply ask a team member for “a lunch.” No questions asked. Every meal will be packed in a discreet paper bag so people can take it with them with dignity and privacy.

Our first round of lunches includes:
🍎 An apple
🥜 A grape Uncrustables sandwich
💧 A bottle of water
🥔 A bag of our homemade chips

This program exists for one reason: we want every child in our community to feel supported, cared for, and never go hungry.

We also want to extend our deepest gratitude to our incredible partners Gordon Food Service. We’ve proudly worked with them for the past 13 years, and once again, they reminded us what true community partnership looks like.

The moment our representative, Lindsey, heard about our summer lunch initiative, she immediately reached out to Gordon’s donation department. Thanks to their generosity, they donated 500 paper lunch bags, 100 bottles of water, 48 Uncrustables, and a case of apples to help us launch this program.

To Lindsey and everyone at Gordon Food Service —thank you for believing in this mission and helping us care for the children in our community. Your generosity is already making a difference, and we are truly grateful.

Together, we can make sure that this summer, our kids are focused on making memories—not worrying about their next meal. ❤️

Summer hours will start next week. We will be open from 10AM until 5PM Mon thru Fri. We will be closed Saturdays until the first weekend in September. If you need assistance during our off hours you may leave us a message on our face book page or a phone call.

WOW! Look who came to visit overnight!!! Polyphemus Moth; They are approximately 4.5" long and the wing span when open is over 6"!
