is a non-profit community organization operating the Liriodendron mansion as an event venue and offering cultural programs and exhibits. The Liriodendron Mansion was designed in 1897 by Baltimore architects Wyatt and Nolting, as the summer residence of Dr. Howard A. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The Palladian mansion has been described as “belonging on the cliffs of New

port rather than on the western edge of Bel Air in Harford County, Maryland. The buildings and 108 acres of woodlands are owned by Harford County as part of Heavenly Waters Park. In 1980, with the encouragement of the county government, the Liriodendron Foundation, a non-profit Maryland corporation was created to manage the property for the public benefit and to raise funds for its support. Liriodendron was opened in September 1981 as a center for Harford County history and cultural arts. It is a historic, cultural, educational and recreational facility

Celebrate the moms in your life at our free Mother’s Day Open House on Sunday, May 10 from 11 am to 3 pm. Enjoy live music by as you stroll our beautiful grounds, take in our historic architecture, learn about history in our Museum, see our gallery exhibit featuring antique hooked rugs, and enjoy light refreshments. We’ll even have a little gift for every mom!

No need to reservations, but if you would like a guided weddings/rentals tour, we recommend that you book a time in advance.

Our annual FREE Winter Walk in the Woods is happening on Presidents Day! Join us at 1 pm for a naturalist-guided gentle hike through the woods around the Liriodendron and learn what nature is doing in the winter months!
