There’s something special about the first days of September in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
The mornings begin a little cooler. Late-summer corn and tomatoes are still coming from local farms. Mountain apples are beginning to arrive. And before long, the first hints of autumn will start appearing along the ridgelines.
Labor Day Weekend is just ahead, and families will soon be making their way back to Boone, Blowing Rock, Banner Elk, Beech Mountain and the surrounding mountains.
At The Resort Chef™, this is one of our favorite times to cook.
It’s that brief moment when summer and fall meet on the same plate.
And when you come to the mountains, we believe dinner should be part of the experience—not something that pulls you away from it.
Stay on the porch a little longer.
Open the good bottle.
Gather everyone around the table.
We’ll take care of dinner.
