We are continuing our Karaoke Contest at The Alley Tap!!! There were NO WINNERS this past friday so that will make the finale an even tighter race!!! Come out this friday! April 3rd to try again! The winner gets a gift card for The Alley Tap!
🎤 The Alley Tap Karaoke Contest: Official Rules
1. Registration & Eligibility
Age Requirement: All contestants must be 21 or older (valid ID required at the bar).
Amateurs Only: This contest is for everyday rockstars. If you make your primary living singing professionally, please sit this one out and enjoy the show!
2. Song Selection & Performance
The Catalog: All songs must be selected from the official Jewell DJ Solutions library.
One Song Per Singer: Each contestant will perform one song. (Note: If you plan on having a smaller group, you could change this to feature a preliminary round and a final round).
No Repeats: First come, first sing! Once a song has been performed by a contestant, it is officially off the board for the rest of the competition.
Solo Acts: To keep judging fair for the grand prize, this is a solo competition. Backup dancers are welcome, but only the person on the mic gets scored.
3. Judging Criteria
Performances will be scored on a scale of 1-10
Crowd Reaction (1-10 points): Cheers, applause, and overall audience engagement. Make sure to tell your singers to bring their friends to hype them up!
Optional Tie-Breaker: In the event of a tie, the tied contestants will compete in a sudden-death, 60-second "Sing-Off" with a song chosen randomly by the DJ.
4. The Grand Prize
Winner Takes All: The singer with the highest total score at the end of the night will be crowned the Top Singer and walk away with the exclusive gift card!
5. House Rules
Respect the Mic: Please treat the DJ's equipment with care. No mic drops!
Good Vibes Only: Support your fellow competitors. Booing, heckling, or poor sportsmanship will result in immediate disqualification
