The future of dance is in good hands... 💫

Earlier this month, students from UMass Amherst Department of Music and Dance’s Dance History class spent the day immersed in all-things Jacob’s Pillow.

Their visit included an archives workshop in Blake’s Barn, a campus tour, and a special showing in the Pillow Lab by Rosy Simas.

This is just one example of what it looks like to be part of our College Partnership Program, designed to support students, faculty, and researchers through exclusive access to Pillow resources, archives, and events.

We asked Izaiah Harris, an alum of The School at Jacob’s Pillow, about how his training at The School and how it impacted his growth as a dancer and artist:

His response?

"I credit Jacob’s Pillow with being my trampoline into the professional dance world. We were challenged and inspired daily to the point where I went into that program as one person and came out as another. There’s a hunger for knowledge and greatness that Jacob’s Pillow nourished deeply. I strive for greatness daily because of this experience."
