It was a pleasure working with Elephant’s Delicatessen at She Dares to Rise Conference.

I worked closely with Tessa for pre-event planning and Liv the day-of. From pre-event planning to the day itself, their team was thoughtful, responsive, and genuinely easy to work with. Everything flowed with ease. And I received a lot of positive feedback from our guests how much they enjoyed the food, and from my team how much they enjoyed working with them.

While I was traveling, I heard about the fire at their NW location. And I drove by their restaurant recently. My heart sank.

Small businesses carry so much behind what we see on the surface. The long hours, the people, the care, the pride in their work. When something unexpected like this happens, it can be incredibly hard.

This is my small way of saying thank you, and also a gentle invitation.

If you’re planning an event, looking for catering, or simply choosing where to support… consider them. Share their story. Show up in whatever way you can.

We’re currently looking for event vendors and community partners who would like to support a meaningful celebration for Latinx youth.

This September (9/13), we are hosting a graduation celebration for first-generation Latinx students — a huge milestone not only for the students, but also for their families and community. Many of these students are the first in their families to reach this moment.

I’m honored to serve as a board member of Empower Youth Latinx (EYL), an organization dedicated to uplifting and supporting Latinx youth in our community.

We are seeking donations or sponsorship for:
✨ Venue (Beaverton area near a MAX line, banquet style for ~100 guests)
✨ Food, drinks & desserts
✨ Photography
✨ Decor & rentals

Even doing the things I’m passionate about can still feel tiring.

The past two months have been full — late nights, 1 AM bedtimes, building, creating, holding space. And my body finally whispered (okay… maybe shouted), it’s time to pause.

So I listened. Taking a beach day on the Oregon coast with Snowy and Puffy. No agenda, just ocean air. Deep breaths. Space to unplug, relax, and reset.

I know this time to restore is what allows me to show up as my best self next Sunday at She Dares to Rise — grounded, clear, and fully present.

Sometimes the most powerful thing we can do, is stop.

I felt honored when I received the invitation from Megan. The event was filled with community builders to mingle and connect.

I am thankful of you, my friends and my community. I am thankful of me, my journey and the guidance of the Universe.

2025 is my first year being a full-time entrepreneur. When I quit my high-paying corporate job, I walked away from stability and a life I had known my whole life up to that moment. When I took the plunge of faith, I relied on hope and trust. And I welcome a new beginning of courage and creativity.

I am thankful I did. Because my world opens beyond my imagination. My new path leads me to you, whom I wouldn't have met otherwise.

This year…

I launched my first . I used all my severance from Intel to pay for the event production. I did it because I have a strong desire to create a platform to celebrate women who have dared to break barriers to be their authentic self. It was terrifying, but I did it anyway. The outcome? EMPOWERING! ~90 women and allies showed up to celebrate with us.

I launched my first . I have two beautiful loving dogs. Both have different behaviors because they had different childhood stories. The original seed of thought was to create a platform for dogs, regardless of size, breeds and backgrounds, to share their stories. The community wasn't ready for it yet. So we had it as a fashion show instead. I know, soon enough we will be ready to hear their stories.

I have launched my first YouTube channel "Ignite with Shi" where I share my personal journey to ignite courage to create boldly and live authentically.

I started planning weddings 3 years ago as part of my healing journey of self love. This summer, I experienced the hardest wedding planning clients, forcing to pause and rethink if this was still the right path for me.

I started modeling last year because I was struggling with body image. Some recent backstage experience also encouraged me to take a pause to rethink if this path is still the right path for me.

Closing a door or ending a relationship is not always bad, it can be wonderful! I LOVE+THANKFUL of my new path because it opens door I wouldn't have known if I had stayed in my old job, doing things I no longer enjoyed.

Besides, I have YOU in my new journey!
