Shoulder surgery tomorrow is what's on the menu! Years of cooking and hardwork has definitely destroyed my joints. But, I still love doing. This surgery will take awhile to recover from. See you all again soon!

I have many things to be thankful for everyday. This year was a special year because I spent the day preparing and cooking for Thanksgiving with our kids. They especially got to cook with my mom, who came over to help on Wednesday. We created trays of food for families going through loss and hardships in our community. Richard and the boys spent an hour delivering the meals we made to a few of the families, who did not have transportation on Thanksgiving Day. There are so many people going through heartbreak and loss, and I was happy to give them a hot meal made with love and care. 75% of the ingredients were donated by our Buy Nothing community and my friends. I'm just grateful my body has healed enough for me to cook like this again. My body might be tired but, it's a happy heart tired, a satisfied tired, a fulfilled tired... because if I can do it, I'm going to do it.

I have the best of friends. My friend Amy, her mom, and kids donated all this food for my Thanksgiving meal giveaway to families in-need from our kid's schools. How kind and awesome is this! Like previous years, I will be making a Thanksgiving feast for families who need it. The families are chosen by a social workers at all three of our children's school. I made duck noodle soup yesterday and had my family over to welcome my sister and husband back to Oregon. My mom brought me fresh-cut rosemary and pickled my crabapples for me. I'm so excited to have my sis and bil back home. And I love harvest season! 🍂 🥮 🎑 🍁

Another beautiful wedding in the books! This time it was at Bridal Veil. The menu was Italian for our nephew and his bride. Garlic&herb chicken served with a capers&cream sauce, pasta Primavera, shrimp camping, orchids&citrus salad, roasted broccoli, and bread&butter. Congratulations to William & Talia!

Richard asked for sushi for Father's Day dinner. I found some Mt. Fuji salmon at Uwajimaya today, and it was delicious! I fried up some softshell crab, made some poke, roasted some unagi, and made his favorites. Happy father's day!
