I love this time of year . The landscapes are so pretty , the temps are warm , and the evenings long. Remind me in January when it’s cold and dreary that August will be back eventually and I can thaw out then.

So stoked we were able to catch wildflower season for this 2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣7️⃣Senior !

Let this be a reminder for the upcoming seniors - the month before graduation WILL NOT HAVE GREEN GRASS OR FLOWERS ! Or at least very few so if you want those types of things in your senior photos , please plan ahead and get your pictures scheduled and taken way before then .
If you want cap and gown photos , I recommend a mini session in the fall in a favorite outfit or two of yours and then In the spring , do another mini with your cap and gown.

Did I think 18 years ago taking pictures of my baby, that I would be a professional photographer 18 years later? Sure didn’t 😂 what I did know was that I was a voice performance major with no desire to teach and had no idea what to do with my life. So I took a photo class and used my baby as my model . I then noticed when I was taking pictures of my baby boy as well as friends and family , I could get them to smile which was almost like I was on stage ! But instead of my art being my voice , you all became my art ❤️

Fall photo locations! So here’s the deal, I will shoot whenever I am free and wherever you want. Evening light is preferable.If it’s a mini shoot you want to, it has to be within 20
Minute drive of Cedar City? UNLESS I Can get 4 other minis to shoot at the same location farther away, back to back. , and I’m always down for suggestions if you have a spot in mind.

To book, just message and we will figure out a time and a place. Mini sessions are $250.
Payment isnt due until out session.

Here are 3 farther locations (just a wee bit ) that I think would make some epic fall picture locations.

As to why I’m not saying where exactly they are located, (yes I know I’m gate keeping ), I don’t want you all showing up to these spots (if you are a photographer) at the same time as me with my clients, or you as photo client telling/showing another photographer you want to shoot at these spots and I show up and there’s no room for my peeps.

Some spots I’m a ok sharing where they are and shooting around other people.

9 years ago I had my husband take some maternity pictures in one of our favorite spots on this earth. I can still feel the ptsd of being so big, hot and uncomfortable. My dad and my husband took turns putting cold washcloths on my legs . 😂🤍Tomorrow that baby turns 9 years old 😢 and we luckily get to celebrate her birthday at lake powell once again! Also luckily I’m not pregnant this time 😂

Can’t believe the kids are starting school in like 10 days 😭 I have a love/hate relationship with this fact. On one hand I want them to stay home and play with me . On the other, they have spent so much time together that they are fighting more often and could really use some time away from each other . 😅

Something’s I have discovered about my self and the world this summer is.

A little Ice cream everyday makes everyone happy.

It’s becoming a pet peeve of mine to see so many ai generated images and posts 🙈. Which not saying using ai for something is bad because I do use it to edit out unwanted things and it has made life a whole lot easier,
But as I see it more and more being used completely, it so distinct and I’m over it. I want people to actually try and put effort into their content.

Family shoots in the summer seem so much more laidback and chill . I think it’s because there isn’t a deadline to get photos done like there is when you need pictures done for Christmas cards.

It’s a ok to take the time out of your busy schedules to sit on your porch and just watch the sunset or read a book in a hammock.
