Fall is upon us and the Red Barn Farm has been busy with Beatrice Class reunions the past two weekends. Class of 1976 and class of 1971. They each celebrated watching the Husker football games and they had a great time going down memory lane!

We would like to thank these 3 local businesses for saving the day last Friday. Behrends Well, Starr Plumbing and Jakob Breazier! We had an extremely large graduation function that day in our barn, with an expected 400 + guests attending throughout the evening. Our bar cooler went down that day, and Jakob Breazier came to the rescue and repaired it just as our function began. At about the exact time he finished, we lost all water to the facility. You can only imagine the shock we had, knowing we need water and restrooms for that many people. I called Jody Starr at Starr Plumbing and they had a new, air conditioned, music filled, multi-room porta-potty on our property in about an hour! I also contacted Behrends Well at the same time, and Michael and Justin were on-site in less than 2 hours equipped with everything they needed to repair the problem. After the correct diagnosis, then pulling and replacing the well pump, they had us up and going in a couple of hours! We are so very grateful to all these businesses, they saved us! Please use these local small businesses, they were incredible. Also, thank you to all our fantastic neighbors the Carstens, for supplying us with drinking water until the well was repaired. Many thanks to our wonderful guests who were slightly inconvenienced for a few hours, your understanding was totally appreciated. Have a great week everyone!
