Excellence thrives in collaboration, not competition.
One of the most valuable lessons I’ve learned in the wedding industry is that there is so much more to be gained by building each other up than by competing for a seat at the table.
There will always be another planner, DJ, florist, photographer, etc. in our market. But that doesn’t mean we have to view one another as competition. When we share knowledge, celebrate each other’s wins, refer business, offer encouragement, and genuinely want to see other professionals succeed, we make the entire industry stronger.
That belief is a huge part of why I said yes to serving as an Industry Advancement Director with CWP Society. The CWP Society has created a community of certified planners and wedding professionals who believe in community over competition. A place where you can learn from one another, grow your business, celebrate milestones, ask questions without fear of judgment, and support each other both in a professional and personal setting.
