All of our weddings are a labor of love, but few are a labor of gratitude. When my sons’ former NICU nurse reached out a year and a half ago to ask if I would help plan her and her fiancé’s “vintage garden disco party”, it was the quickest yes I’ve ever given.

Autumn weddings have a way of doing half the design work for you. When the landscape is already layered with greenery and warm tones, the right venue can turn simple décor into something extraordinary.

I always tell couples to start with the setting: do you want sweeping vineyard views, cozy garden intimacy, or a property where the trees do the talking? Venues like Pippin Hill, Goodstone Inn, and Stone Tower shine this time of year because the natural palette sets the tone—no heavy styling required.
