It looks like some sizable thunderstorms in the forecast this morning, so today’s 10am Yoga in the Blooms class will be cancelled. We are hoping to reschedule and will get the new date out ASAP!

On the plus side, YAY for rain! We need it so bad. We hope you enjoy this rainy morning!

This lovely group stopped by the farm this week to gather flowers & greenery for an event in !

Some traveled from Milwaukee and some traveled all the way from Albuquerque, NM to help cut & design event flowers. Noga was the organizer behind all of these efforts. If you are in Albuquerque, stop by her flower shop, Cafe Flora ABQ ! She is committed to buying flowers that do not contain dangerous pesticides to use in her designs, making all of us who enjoy flowers safer & healthier.

By the end of their time at the farm, they gathered 9 buckets of blooms and greenery to design with. It gave us pure joy to see this beautiful group enjoy the blooms!

If you are looking for flowers that do not contain dangerous chemical sprays, stop by and pick a bouquet or a bucket! The fresh air, sunshine, butterflies, and honeybees are an added bonus ☀️

Our final Yoga in the Blooms will be happening this SATURDAY, AUGUST 29th at 10am! Join us for a peaceful morning on the farm with this lovely woman - yoga instructor extraordinaire, Christine. She has been working on a new flow especially for this class and we are excited!

We are OPEN for picking! The blooms are looking so lovely and it thrills us that all of you can share in our flower joy.

Blue Vista Farm is currently closed but we remain open & the blooms are plentiful ☀️

These beautiful gems were our first pick-your-own group this season! They were full of excitement, joy, and anticipation as they picked buckets for Kiara and Evan’s Bayfield wedding. By the end of their time on the farm, they had gathered 12 lovely buckets of blooms and greenery!

We love hosting wedding parties! Thank you to this delightful group for letting us share in your wedding joy❤️

We were working at the farm yesterday and these lovely ladies were enjoying walking through the blooms! As the flowers have grown and blossomed, there have been a lot of you checking in and curious about when we will be open for picking.

I’m glad to say, this *Saturday, August 8* is our opening day for pick-your-own! Come and pick from 8-6! We will be open *everyday from 8-6* until the flowers slow down, which won’t be anytime soon! ☀️

The steps of flower farming as an 8-year-old…

1: Your mom convinces you to help her on the farm.
2: You get to use the sprayer to add soil nutrients to the flowers.
3: You help pinch the flowers and get to keep the little flowers you cut. You make a tiny bouquet.
4: You *finally* get to do what you most wanted to do since you arrived…build a fairy house!

I find my days at the farm are the most productive when I work alone. But productivity isn’t always everything. To be able to share time with my awesome kids is a treat that I know is fleeting. Thankful for these sunny days at the farm ☀️

The first blooms of the season ☀️

All the flowers are in the ground and we’re feeling accomplished. May & June are some of the busiest months in our blooms field, so welcome July!

Now it’s time to cross our fingers, pray for rain (we irrigate but the flowers LOVE the rain) and let the blooms soak up the sun to get ready to bring joy to all of you!

Stay tuned for our opening date in late July/early August.
