Lately, I’ve been seeing far too many posts announcing the passing of our DOC brothers and sisters. Each announcement breaks my heart because I know that pain all too well. 💔

Nearly 10 years ago, we lost our beautiful mother, Correction Officer Sheryl Stack-Augustus-Compton, to an illness related to her tenure at Rikers Island.

Behind every badge is a family, a story, and a legacy worth honoring. ❤️
