We’re sad to hear about the passing of Eric Jylha, the beloved local historian, former WNEM reporter/weatherman, and one of the original
Board members of the HMT.

Eric knew more about the building than almost anyone, and we wouldn’t be here today if not for the hard work and heart he brought to our organization. Take a tour through the building with him in this video from 2018:

STARTING TONIGHT! 👻

Local author and paranormal investigator Nicole Beauchamp is BACK at the HMT this October with two opportunities to experience the history and haunts of our space:

🔎 October 3rd: Join Nicole for a full PARANORMAL INVESTIGATION. Bring your ghost hunting gear (or just your phone!) for over 4 hours of investigating with Nicole and other local ghost hunters. Brought back by popular demand, but with only ONE TIME SLOT (so get your tickets!) 9pm-1:30am

📖 October 4th: Take in an hour-long HAUNTED HISTORY TOUR! Hidden staircases, secret windows, beautiful woodwork and stained glass...see the parts of the HMT that you might not get to experience at a regular event, all while learning about the haunts that have been reported here! Admission is limited. Tour times: 4pm, 5:45pm, 7:30pm, 9:15pm.

❓VIRTUAL TICKETS AVAILABLE upon request for our guests that can't navigate the stairs, but still want to experience the haunted history for themselves. Email our programming director ([email protected]) to arrange a virtual tour.

Proceeds go toward the further restoration and renovation of our historic space, so that it may be enjoyed for generations to come, so come celebrate this spooky time of year with us!

A little Throwback Thursday to last year when our Rocky Horror Picture Show shadow cast (The Transylvania Twists) got to introduce the one and only DANHAUSEN at last October’s Pure Pro Wrestling event! Rocky has become a beloved tradition here at the HMT, and of course we love hosting PPW any time they’re in town!

This month's Midnight Monster Movies showing is 1993's JURASSIC PARK starring the late great Sam Neill, sponsored by Bay City Beyond. It's the big daddy of all dino flicks, with plenty of animatronics and Jeff Goldblum to go around. Check out the original trailer for the film below!

📢 CALLING ALL WRITERS!

Our 24-Hour Write-In is BACK this weekend! If you are always trying to find the time to write, now is your chance to focus for 24 hours. Work alongside peers, participate in challenges, network with writers in the same discipline and learn from others! Novelists, songwriters, playwrights, and creatives of all kinds are welcome to join (even if you're just catching up on some schoolwork, no judgement here!)
