Runway to Success is a supplier pitch competition that creates opportunities for minority- and women-owned businesses looking to supply goods to airports in the food & beverage, retail and AEC spaces.
The "Shark Tank"-style supplier competition is a key component of the AMAC Supplier Access and Opportunity Initiative, which aims to provide participants with a platform to showcase groundbreaking ideas, foster collaboration and drive forward solutions that enhance operational efficiency, sustainability and the customer experience with industry experts and decision-makers.

The Runway to Success, Supplier Pitch Competition mission is to empower and spotlight innovative suppliers who are redefining excellence within the airport/aviation industry. Through this pitch competition, AMAC aims to create a platform for showcasing groundbreaking ideas, fostering collaboration, and driving forward solutions that enhance operational efficiency, sustainability, and the customer experience. Shaping the future of airports by connecting forward-thinking suppliers with transformative opportunities.

Access and Partnerships - Help suppliers gain exposure, connect with potential partners, and win an opportunity to collaborate with prime concessionaires, contractors, airports, airline carriers, investors, and brands in the travel and hospitality enterprise.

Growth and Scalability - To create a competition aimed at discovering and fostering innovative suppliers or manufacturers who can provide unique, scalable products or services that would be ideal for retail, wholesale, or direct-to-consumer business models.

Promote Understanding of the Airport Ecosystem - Ensure minority suppliers understand the unique operational environment, compliance requirements, and customer dynamics of the airport ecosystem.

Empower Wealth Building and Economic Growth - Equip diverse suppliers with the tools, knowledge, an opportunity to create long-term wealth and economic stability through their participation in the airport ecosystem.

This change arises from our inability to meet the expectations set by new the City of St. George for events on previously reserved BREC properties. We extend our sincere gratitude to BREC for their efforts to accommodate us under these unusual circumstances. We will bring this festival home as it should have always been to the heart of Mid City.

After a year of meticulous planning, we announce that 225FEST will return to its home in Baton Rouge. The festival is now scheduled for Sunday, March 2nd, from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, at Baton Rouge Community College – Mid City Campus (203 Community College Dr.).

To ensure adequate law enforcement presence, especially considering the Spanish Town Parade on Saturday, the festival will be held exclusively on Sunday. Our commitment remains steadfast in providing a safe, family-friendly experience, as we consistently deliver. In addition to BRCC provided parking we will collaborate to provide shuttles from local parking lots to the new festival site.
