💭 Just something to think about…

When your loved one passes, the first call you make is to the funeral home. They’re entrusted to pick up your loved one and prepare their body for its final rest through embalming and care. You trust the professionals with that sacred part.

But when it comes to the obituary and memorial program, so many families suddenly try to DIY it. Truth is, by that point you’re already overwhelmed with last-minute funeral planning. Why add more stress by trying to “throw something together”?

Let’s be real: families often spend hundreds on T-shirts, which are worn for one day, but hesitate on the memorial program—the very keepsake that lives on forever. The program is the first impression and the lasting memory.

At the end of the day, it’s your choice. But just know: the T-shirt fades. The program stays.

On Thursday, July 3rd, I sat down at my computer around 5:30 PM, and by 8:15 PM, an 8-page custom memorial booklet was completely designed and ready for review & edits. That’s roughly 2 1/2 hours of straight design work.

The client sent me the details and wording at 10:40 AM that morning, and by the evening, their loved one’s life was honored in a beautifully crafted design created from scratch.

Let me be clear: we do not design from templates. Every layout is created straight from the dome — from the creativity and vision that God has blessed us with.

This family shared that their loved one adored leopard print and the color red. As soon as I heard that, I knew exactly how I wanted to lay out the obituary.

This isn’t just business for me it’s purpose.
It’s ministry. It’s legacy work.
