I literally do so much behind the scenes that I don’t always get the opportunity to post or capture it all. 🫣✨

But after recently talking with someone about backdrop sizing, I thought this would be a perfect example to share!

This backdrop was created for my niece’s wedding and is an 8x8 backdrop, displayed on an 8x10 pipe-and-drape stand. By adding draping on each side, we were able to give it a fuller, larger, more elevated look without needing an oversized backdrop. 🤍

Every memorial tells a story… and this one will forever hold a special place in my heart. 🤍

A few months ago, a family in Boston, Massachusetts trusted Ricki's Creative Concepts, LLC to design a luxury gatefold memorial program for their mother’s celebration of life. When tragedy struck again, they reached back out and entrusted me with honoring their brother’s legacy.

From an 8-page magazine-style memorial program to custom memorial display boards that stood beside his casket, every detail was designed to celebrate a life well lived—not just mourn a loss.

One of my favorite moments was seeing the display boards come to life, boldly reading “Long Live Prano” and “Forever In Our Hearts.” It was more than a design… it became a part of his family’s final tribute.

This is why I do what I do.

I don’t just create funeral programs. I help families preserve legacies, honor stories, and create keepsakes that will be cherished for generations.

It was truly an honor to design this Homegoing Celebration program in memory of Rosa Lee Douglas.

For 95 years, she poured into generations, leaving behind a legacy of faith, love, strength, and grace. The blessing of witnessing five generations is a testament to a life well lived and a love that will continue to bloom for years to come.

Every detail of this design was created to reflect the elegance and beauty of the remarkable woman she was.

May she rest peacefully in the loving arms of God. Her legacy will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. 🌹🤍

Sometimes a lot of our Kingdom work happens behind the scenes.

While many people know Ricki's Creative Concepts, LLC for our wedding stationery, corporate events or for our custom obituary designs, we also have the privilege of partnering with churches to help bring their vision to life through intentional branding and creative design.

A huge thank you to Gloryland Baptist Church for trusting us with designing out their marketing materials for their 75th Anniversary Celebration. From event flyers, banners and promotional branded materials, every piece was designed with purpose to honor this incredible milestone.

Every family’s story deserves to be handled with dignity, respect, and confidentiality.

One of the greatest honors of my work is being entrusted with creating memorial keepsakes during one of life’s most difficult moments. That trust is something I never take lightly.

As a standard business practice, Ricki’s Creative Concepts does not release copies of memorial programs, obituary designs, photos, or client files to anyone other than the individual(s) authorized by the family. This policy applies to every client we serve and is in place to protect the privacy and wishes of each family.

While many obituaries may be publicly available through funeral homes or online memorial websites, any printed or custom-designed materials created by our business remain the property of our client and are only shared with their permission.

Thank you to every family who has trusted us to preserve the legacy of their loved ones. Your confidence in our professionalism means more than you know.

Last week I received 168 photos for us to design a memorial program. It was a huge obituary layout, for our client in Texas and it came out so beautiful. 🥰

Today as I looked through the final printed copy of the program. I realized I wasn’t just looking at pictures I was watching a life unfold. Birthdays, vacations, family gatherings, milestones, and ordinary moments that became extraordinary memories.

It reminded me of something…

Don’t wait until you lose a few pounds.
Don’t wait for the perfect outfit.
Don’t wait until you think you look “better.”

Get in the picture. Smile. Make the memory.

Because one day, those photos won’t just be images they’ll become a priceless part of your family’s story.

This past Saturday, we had the honor of serving four memorial services in four different locations outside of the state of Louisiana. Every family entrusted us with telling the story of someone they deeply loved, and that is a responsibility we never take lightly.

This particular memorial program was created for a wonderful family in Los Angeles, California. What began as an 8-page program quickly grew into a beautiful 12-page keepsake as more photos, heartfelt tributes, and cherished memories were shared. Together, we made sure every special moment had its place.

The completed order was shipped on Monday and arrived the next day, which was several days before the service, giving the family peace of mind during such an important time.

In addition to the 12-page memorial program, we also created:
✨ A custom YouTube/media display cover
✨ Church screen graphics
✨ A 24” × 36” welcome sign
✨ A digital memorial accessible by QR code (included with every memorial program design)

Yesterday, we shipped a large order of custom 12-page memorial programs to Los Angeles, California, and hearing the excitement in my client’s voice just a few minutes ago when she received via UPS truly made my day. ❤️

What makes this project even more special is that Ms. Smith found me through Instagram. I don’t even have my website completed yet, so the fact that she trusted my work based on what she saw on social media means more than she probably realizes.

Over the planning process, we got to know each other well. Like many families navigating loss, there were a few unexpected challenges along the way, but together we worked through every detail to create something meaningful in honor of her mother.

While I’ll wait until after the service on Saturday to share the full memorial program, I wanted to offer a small sneak peek of the custom YouTube cover we created for the media team to use during the celebration of life.
