Makaylee “Mak” Secrest is a graduate of LSU, receiving a B.A. in Theatre and directing productions of "Belleville" and "The Goat or Who is Sylvia?" Associate and assistant directing credits include: "And a Nightingale Sang…" and "As You Like It" (Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey), "Goodnight, Oscar," (Le Petit ), "God of Carnage," "The Cake," "Little Women," and "How I Learned to Drive" (Theatre Baton Rouge) and "The Book of Will and Roe" (Swine Palace). Josefina López' play inspired a film starring America Ferrara, which won the Sundance Grand Jury Prize in 2002. Last December American Repertory Theater launched a musical version of this funny, heartwarming salute to the immigrant spirit. Come see the play that started it all!
