Heirloom mums are hands down one of my favorite cut flowers. Years back, I got the chance to participate in a mum trial with and was hooked. Sadly, because of a freak accident, I lost all my stock and it broke my heart.

These are not the easiest or cheapest to source, but I’ve been slowly growing them, taking cuttings, and giving them love..and they are looking amazing.

Shoutout to for the best looking starters🫶 Fingers crossed for beautiful blooms in November.

Happy Sunday Morning!

Little update on my Dahlia “pinchlings” today.

If you are going to try taking cuttings, my two suggestions is use rooting hormone and they need LOTS of light (14+ hours).

Shoutout to Megan at because otherwise there would be no peaches n cream dahlias in my backyard.

Anyone else growing Dahlias? I would love to know the varieties that grow best for you!

Summer growing for Fall in Louisiana can be tough. Trying some beneficial insects 🐞 🐞 to see if I can reduce some of these pressures while I focus on soil health.

Funny enough my Masters was in Molecular Entomology (ticks) so I’m really having a great time with these guys.

Hi Y’all

After next week, I’ll be taking a little summer pause from regular flower offerings.

While I have a few design jobs still on the calendar, July and August need my attention for growing, planting, and getting ready for fall blooms. 🫶
