A ceremony asks something of a couple.

Time to reconnect with old friends and be introduced to new ones. Time to linger at the table, sharing stories and memories. Time for laughter to build naturally while you exhale and take in the fact that everyone is finally here.

Josh and Lauren wanted their wedding to feel bright and energetic, not just visually, but emotionally. They wanted a day that felt alive. Joyful. Welcoming. The kind of celebration where people exhale, laugh loudly, and feel completely themselves.

That vision made sense the more I got to know them.

They are generous and thoughtful in a way that shapes every decision they make. They care deeply about their people. Throughout the planning process, their focus was never just on how something would look, but how it would feel….for their families, for their friends, for each other. Everything was intentional.

One of the most meaningful parts of the day was Lauren’s dad serving as their officiant. There was something incredibly grounding about a father not only walking his daughter down the aisle, but then standing in front of her and blessing the marriage.

And they honored Josh’s late father in a way that was just as powerful. A poem his dad had written to Josh’s mom years ago was read during the ceremony. A touching moment of his voice, his love, his legacy carried forward in that moment. It was a reminder that love doesn’t disappear. It continues. It shapes. It stays.

They laughed constantly. They were playful and fully themselves. They hugged everyone. They lived in the moment.

Lauren and Josh, may you continue to love each other with the same generosity and intention you showed on your wedding day. May your home always be full of laughter and playfulness. May you care for one another in the quiet, ordinary moments just as deeply as you did in the big ones. It was an honor to witness the beginning of this chapter.

Networking events are hard for me.
My first one? I literally felt like I was back in middle school. Awkward. Unsure where to stand. Overthinking every interaction. Who should I even talk to?

After that first event, I almost decided not to go to any more.

But I love people. I love getting to know them beyond what they do for work. I love hearing their stories, the parts of their lives that don’t fit neatly on a website or a title. I love understanding how people think and what they care about.

So I keep showing up. Even when I feel awkward or goofy. Even when I didn’t know what to wear or who to talk to. I show up because there are so many incredible people in the room.

This Emerge event was the perfect event. It created space for real conversations and genuine connection with some truly amazing humans. I met new friends and spent time with old ones. I left feeling full and grateful for every person I got to know. Thank you and for creating these experiences!

Happy New Year ✨

As 2025 came to a close, I reflected on my word for the year: gratitude. Each year, I choose a word to help center my heart and focus on what truly matters. This year, gratitude showed up in countless ways. I am so grateful for the couples who trusted me with their weddings, the creative partners who poured their talent and care into every celebration, and for my family and the constant support of so many incredible people in my life.

As I step into 2026, my word is presence. I want to be intentional about truly being here - not distracted, not rushed, but fully engaged.

Presence in my relationship with Jesus. Presence with my children, my husband, and the family and friends who mean so much to me.

Presence with my incredible 2026 couples, cherishing the planning process, honoring their excitement, and being fully invested as we move into the final phases of bringing their visions to life.
