💜🦃HaPpY ThAnKsGiViNg!! 💜🦃
I’m feeling awfully thankful this year…… and right here is the reason why!
Bryan Owens-Simply put, without this guy, none of this would be possible. From late night-head -lamp-flower-picking, washing dirty floral buckets in the freezing cold to supporting my “Hey! I have an idea moments”, he’s always there to help-no matter what time it is and I couldn’t be more thankful for that!
Carrie Lydia-My mom is the one with the patience! She’s the one who creates all of the beautiful bows and does the finishing touches on wedding bouquets and boutonnières, she stays up late with me the night before a big wedding and gets up bright and early ready for delivery the next day, I’d be completely lost and a lot less organized without this lady! I also have to thank her and my dad for letting me have my flower garden at their farm! The garden has been there for many generations and I’m lucky enough to be the caretaker now.
Lorraine & Earl Owens- Thank you doesn’t cover it for letting me invade your space and allowing me to have my little “flower workshop” at the farm. Fun Fact-before this, I had floral supplies in about 4 different places and used our kitchen counter as my work bench. Having a spot dedicated to flowers has allowed me to do so much more! Lorraine, you’re also a trooper for being the “water lady” while I’m at work! She’s the reason why all of the flowers I order in don’t become a wilted mess. She’s also the reason why you might get a unique vase or the perfect vase to fit your wedding bouquet! She’s always on the hunt for a good find at a local yard sale or estate sale!
Madison Miller-My childhood best friend who brings my marketing ideas to life! Fun Fact-She created our beautiful logo! She helps with business cards, gift cards and whatever other crazy marketing ideas I have up my sleeve. And she doesn’t bat an eye if I change my mind 12 times!
Cayla, Avery, Myles & Maelynn- Cayla and Avery always support my crazy ideas! But more importantly, they let me steal their kiddos to come work in the garden! The garden is a peaceful place but even more so with a few cute helpers! They’re of course always welcome to go home with a fresh flower, handpicked for mommy!
Judy Towner-My Aunt Judy has been by my side from the start. She’s the first to offer a lending hand or flowers from her garden, tag along to bulb auctions in the spring and is just always there for me whether it be placing an order or grabbing some cute ribbon!
Jeff Squires- Nothing like a longtime family friend willing to lend a helping hand! He’s been the go-to neighborhood garden rotiller for as long as I can remember! Always thankful for him tilling up the garden every year, for a strawberry rhubarb pie in return!
Joe Underhill- He’s one of the first ones I bug come early spring to utilize his plastic mulcher. Without him, I’d simply have a flower garden filled with weeds!
Kelsea Winchell/Poppysea Floristry- This girl is amazing and the most genuine person you might ever meet! She is the first to say, “Hey do you have any gladiolus in the garden this week”. She is also my go to for the “How in the world do I make this?” questions or an overdue conversation about the flower world!
Jessie Slayton/Hemlock Ridge Farm + Angela Havens/Angie’s Blooms + Claire Wragg/CCW Dahlias- These ladies are my fellow flower farmers! They’ll never hesitate to answer my 11:00pm messages saying “ Hey, do you have any burgundy dahlias in your garden this week”. Flower farming is just like any other type of farming, Mother Nature is a beast and these ladies understand just how it goes. It makes my heart happy knowing their blooms complete some of our work!
If you’re still reading, I am so thankful for you, whether it be sharing our Facebook posts, letting me pick greenery/pinecones/etc. from your yard, dropping off unwanted vases, displaying our business cards, placing an order, booking a wedding or simply telling a friend about us!
Flower farming and floral arranging both hold such a special place in my heart and I’m lucky enough to have each and everyone of you who support it! Without you, this wouldn’t be possible! I can’t wait for another flower filled year, THANK YOU!!
