A few days after The Basement Spectacle, I received this message, and one part really stuck with me:

“The difference for you was the community support that you had from your friends was incredible.”

The truth is, The Basement has never been just me. It’s every person who bought a ticket, shared a post, volunteered their time, worked behind the scenes, set up tables, poured drinks, cleaned up after everyone went home, decorated a room, sponsored an event, or simply showed up.

From day one, every event we’ve hosted has been built by a village of people who believed in this crazy little dream before they had any reason to.

The Basement Spectacle was a success because of all of you.

Thank you to everyone who has supported me, encouraged me, picked me up when I was overwhelmed, and stood beside me from the very beginning. I may have opened the doors, but this community is what fills the room.

Here’s to many more unforgettable moments.
