A truly multi-purpose facility, well-suited to events of all types, the Batesville Civic Center is conveniently located in Batesville, Mississippi, between Memphis and Jackson, MS, at the intersection of Interstate Highway 55 and State Highway 6. The addition of 20 full-service RV sites for use by BCC events, patrons, and travelers marks the completion of Phase 1 of the Batesville Civic Center RV Park and has greatly enhanced our versatility as an event destination. The BCC had the opportunity to Host the National Black Growers of Council. With over 70+ guests attending.

The NBGC plays a crucial role in supporting black farmers.

The NBGC consists of multigenerational producers who operate farms across 11 southern states.

The council hosts an annual meeting to connect farmers with industry representatives and discuss challenges and opportunities.

The organization addresses issues such as access to resources, education, and market opportunities for black farmers.

Taylor Grocery Special Event Catering did an outstanding job with presentation and service for this event.

I would like to give recognition to National Security Ops for their professionalism in making sure our guests have a pleasant experience at the BCC and a sense of safety.

Indoor Walking Track at Batesville Civic Center Continues to Gain Popularity Among Local Residents

BATESVILLE, Miss. – With an average of more than 150 walkers each month, the Batesville Civic Center indoor walking track has become a valued community resource, providing residents with a safe, comfortable place to exercise, stay active, and enjoy fellowship with others.

The indoor walking track has become a popular destination for people of all ages who are looking for a convenient place to walk while avoiding Mississippi's summer heat and rainy days. Many walkers also enjoy the opportunity to visit with friends, build relationships, and make exercise a part of their daily routine.

The Batesville Civic Center walking track offers a climate-controlled environment, clean restrooms, and a safe, welcoming place to exercise throughout the week. The facility provides community members with a year-round option for staying active regardless of outdoor conditions.

Frequent walkers Roxanne Goodson and Nancy Ginn appreciate having an indoor walking option, especially during the summer months. The comfortable environment allows them to continue their walking routine while enjoying fellowship and conversations with fellow community members.

The walking track is open Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Hours may vary when the Civic Center is hosting events, setting up for events, or during scheduled maintenance and cleaning.

First-time walkers are asked to stop by the Batesville Civic Center office to complete a brief contact information form. This information is maintained for emergency purposes.

For those tracking their fitness goals, 5.25 laps around the indoor track equals one mile, making it easy for walkers to measure their progress.
