Listen... I’ve been super busy lately reminding everyone to vote in the 22nd Annual Best of Bastrop County competition. But honestly? I’d rather be doing what I do best — greeting customers, going on deliveries, and napping in sunbeams. ☀️

There isn’t anything more exciting to me than seeing and hearing the joy our customers feel when they receive one of our designs. 💐 That joy — that connection — is where we draw our strength from.

It’s what has kept Bastrop Florist going strong for over 50 years.
It’s how we have always wanted to do it and by the grace of God, it’s how we’ve always been able to do it.

🎩🐾 Meet Walter: The Hardest Working Employee at Bastrop Florist 🐾🎩

Walter may be covered in fur, but he wears many hats around here—and wears them well.

🖇️ Administration: From ordering flowers to managing logistics, Walter keeps things running smoothly in the back office. He also handles in-house staff therapy (aka cuddles).

🌸 Quality Control & Design: Once the orders are in, he makes his rounds at the production table, sniff-testing blooms and offering creative input. He swears those nuzzles improve floral symmetry. 💐

👥 Customer Service: When you walk into our shop, expect to be greeted by our four-legged ambassador. It’s his favorite part of the day, and he’s an expert in tail wags and client satisfaction.

🚚 Deliveries: Walter oversees the final step—ensuring every delivery leaves in pristine, pet-approved condition with his sharp eye and quality sniff.

In short, Walter does it all. But no matter how many jobs he juggles, his heart stays focused on one thing: Bastrop Florist—just like the rest of us. 💛

At Bastrop Florist, we know a little love can brighten any space—whether it's a beautiful bouquet or a tiny kitten curled up in your lap.

This National Kitten Day, we're raising awareness for the countless kittens who haven’t yet found a home. Every year, many are abandoned, born into shelters, or live as strays. Spaying and neutering pets is key to reducing overpopulation and giving more kittens a chance at a healthy life.

Thinking of adding a little fur to your family? Adopt, don’t shop. Shelters are full of purring bundles of love waiting for someone just like you. 🐱💕

Let’s celebrate the joy kittens bring—and do our part to make sure they all find a place to call home. 💐

Not all flower shops are what they seem. Some companies—like 1-800 Flowers, Just Flowers, Ava’s Flowers, Kim’s Florist, Terry’s Florist, and others—are not real florists. They're order gatherers—often operating overseas—who masquerade as local shops, take your order, charge you more, then send the order to the lowest bidder (definitely not us).

They may even answer the phone with:
“Yes, this is Bastrop Florist. How can I help you?”
😡 But it’s NOT.

These deceptive tactics:

Undercut your local florist
Deliver less quality for more money
Take the financial blessing out of Bastrop
💐 When you order directly from Bastrop Florist, your dollars stay right here in our hometown, supporting real people, real flowers, and yes... real tail wags from Walter (who, by the way, does not like imposters 🐶🚫).
