To be fair, nobody asked me not to do it either.

So here is 1 minute and 40 seconds of me treating the drive home like I had contractual obligations to finish the set.

At the beginning of summer, Desi wasn’t walking. Hal was still in diapers. Jori wouldn’t swim underwater.

And somehow, in the span of ONE summer…

Desi is RUNNING.
Hal is officially done with diapers. 🙌
And Jori has turned into such a fish that she managed to give herself swimmer’s ear. 😬😂

It’s wild how you don’t really notice it happening day by day. Then suddenly you look back at where they were just a few months ago and realize they’re completely different little people.

One summer. Three kids. So many milestones. 🥹

Apparently while I was busy trying to keep everyone alive, they were busy growing up. ❤️

The “Do I Have Enough of Everything?” Phase

Just casually heading into the basement to confirm whether I have enough supplies to cater, decorate, floral, dessert table, champagne table, ceremony AND reception a wedding. Normal small business activities.

The good news: I have lots of things.
The bad news: I now have to determine whether I have enough of the things.

Current inventory system: walk around the basement pointing at stuff and saying “okay… okay… okay…” until I feel better.

Two days. We ride. 🫡

Got home at 10. Everyone was asleep. I went to sleep. Honestly? Beautiful. Restorative. Responsible.

So naturally I spent the morning working on my website, sending contracts, doing admin, and preparing to absolutely destroy that healthy decision over the next 72 hours.

Wedding weekend has entered the chat. 💀🎈💐

Sleep is for the weak.
And by “the weak,” I apparently mean people with functioning frontal lobes.

POV: you’ve reached the Dr. Seuss portion of your workday 🍷

Nobody asked for a 1:40 audit of my day performed like Dr. Seuss into a bottle of wine, but somewhere around hour 14, this became the only reasonable way to report my time. 🍷🎤

Full-time job. Mom admin. FaceTime parenting. Website building. Staff scheduling. And finally… drinking hours.

Anyway, I think my timesheet speaks for itself.

BIG THINGS ARE HAPPENING AT LIFTED EVENTS. 📢

After 3.5 hours of website work, minimal food consumption, and enough drinks to start making executive decisions, I’m excited to announce the opening of our newest corporate headquarters:

The website is still not fu***ng done.

Current launch goal: Labor Day.
Previous launch goals are none of your business.

But seriously—this has been a MASSIVE undertaking, I’m working my ass off on it, and there are some really exciting things coming.

Apparently I DO have boundaries 😬

I fear I may have created the impression that Lifted Events is a place where you can simply ask for anything and I’ll figure it out.

And to be fair… that has worked an alarming number of times. 😂

But every once in a while, a request comes through and even I have to remember that “I won’t be doing that” is a complete sentence. 😬

Keep the ideas coming though. Apparently finding out where the line is has become part of the business model.

My Work Trip Is the Break 😂

Off to Denver to work Tuesday and Wednesday, then straight back home to finish wedding prep because apparently this is what I consider balance 😂✈️🌸

Corporate travel → wedding mode. No days off, just different kinds of chaos.
