Consider this your sign to take wedding party photos at the bar 🥂

It was raining on Lauren and Jesse’s wedding day, so we got a little creative and brought the wedding party inside the Main Inn. What could have felt like a backup plan turned into some of the most fun photos of the day.

Grab your people, pour something good, and let everyone loosen up a little. Rain definitely doesn’t have to ruin the photo plans 🤍

Erin and Graham’s tables were proof that you don’t have to overdo your decor to make the room feel beautiful 🤍

A mix of greenery, florals, candlelight and simple details can completely transform your tables while still letting the natural warmth of the space come through.

When you’re planning your own tables, think about layering different textures and heights instead of trying to fill every inch. A little greenery, soft candlelight and a few intentional details can go a long way ✨

Down by the creek with Laura and Tony 🤍

One of our favorite things about wedding portraits at Bally is how many completely different backdrops you can find without ever leaving the property. The stone buildings, gardens, open fields and of course the creek all give you a chance to sneak away for a few minutes together and get photos that feel completely different from the rest of your gallery.

Your centerpieces don’t have to do all the work.

One of our favorite ways to make a reception table feel full and finished is to layer your decor down the length of the table.

Bailey and Nicole used a cream runner as their base, added greenery throughout the center, mixed in candles for height and warmth, and finished everything with a floral centerpiece.

Instead of one large arrangement sitting in the middle of an otherwise empty table, your eye has details to follow all the way down.

And yes, those florals can absolutely be faux! Mixing faux florals with real greenery, candles, linens, and other textures can still create a beautiful finished look without putting your entire decor budget into flowers.

You don’t always need more decor. Sometimes you just need to layer what you already have. 🤍

A first look isn’t the only way to have a moment together before the ceremony. 🤍

A first touch lets you see each other, without actually seeing each other.

Hold hands around a corner, exchange letters, talk for a few minutes, laugh, cry, or just remind each other that you’re about to get married.

You still get the anticipation of seeing each other for the first time as you walk down the aisle, but you also get a few quiet minutes together before everything begins.

And these photos? Such a sweet way to capture it. 🥹

Danielle & Angelo chose to wait until the ceremony to see each other, which meant these portraits were also their first chance to really talk all day. 🤍

Between photos, they were whispering about their mornings, comparing nerves, sharing the little things the other had missed, and finally getting a moment to breathe together.

There is something so sweet about those first conversations after the ceremony. You have officially made it through the biggest moment of the day, the nerves begin to settle, and suddenly you get to look at each other and say, “Okay, tell me everything.”

Your portrait time does not have to feel like one long pose. Talk, laugh, catch up, and let yourselves enjoy being newlyweds. Those natural moments usually end up feeling the most like you.
