You know how smells have the power to take you back in time? I was preparing for a wedding today using pampas grass, and if you’ve ever worked with it, you know—it sheds like crazy! So there I was, spraying hairspray to keep it together, and instantly I was transported back to my youth, getting ready for a pow wow. My sisters and I laughing, Mom braiding our hair and giving us a gentle tap (aye) with the comb when we couldn’t sit still. Braiding was more than getting ready—it was an act of love.

Hands weaving care into every strand, sealing it with a generous mist of hairspray and a mother’s patience.

With it being Native American Heritage Month, I find myself reflecting on the simple, sacred rhythms of those days—the family, the laughter, the love that shaped who I am.

Those memories live in me still, woven deep like those braids. 🤍

🌟Our team celebrated some MAJOR milestones yesterday! We served over 500 people in the month of October and executed 6 weddings and 2 events! It was a busy month and my team stepped up to the challenge! I am so beyond proud of them and the work we have done! I am overwhelming thankful to our community who continue to support us everyday! We are loving our new storefront space and it has been an honor to serve!

Last week we had the honor and privilege to design for this beautiful couple! The one thing that stood out the most this day was the love found between the bride, the groom, and the family.
