SUN PRINTS ARE BACK!!!! HURRAY!!! This Saturday, August 22, local rock star and professor of art KRYSTAL GROW returns to the garden to make CYANOTYPE SUN PRINTS! This has always been one of our favorite and most popular activities, and we can't wait to see what you create! THIS SATURDAY, only in the Garden at the Barryville Farmers' Market!!!! They are super nice people who truly love their kitties ...

Everyone needs a furry pal! This weekend (Saturday, Aug 1) we're hosting Round One of Kitten Adoption with our pals The C Alley Cats of Lake Wallenpaupack - you can see them and their kittens at the link below! Each year since the Garden at the Barryville Farmers' Market has opened we have found new forever homes for the sweetest kittens and made life a little better for the whole wide world. Please come visit us and think about opening your home and heart to a new friend! Please see their page - these are great people, they take great care of their rescues and are dedicated to finding loving homes. We've been watching the skies and the incoming thunderstorms - nothing is more important to us than your safety and the safety of the performers and wonderful hosts of our events - so we are postponing this week's Garden event - but stay tuned for a new date!!!! What an amazing day we had at the ribbon cutting and grand opening of the new FREE GARDEN LIBRARY! Thanks to our library team: librarian Mike Edison, visionary rural artist Todd Anderson —who did such an incredible job hand-painting the library — and Richard Malenky, without whom this would still be but dream, and all the folks who make the Barryville Farmers' Market happen — the farmers, the vendors, our volunteers, and most of all, our community who supports the market with such enthusiasm. "This garden is in the spirit of the farmers' market and dedicated to home gardeners, and local farmers, and home chefs, and anyone who is connecting to the earth through the food we eat." We love you all! ❤️

THIS SATURDAY THE GRAND OPENING OF THE "FREE GARDEN LIBRARY" at the Barryville Farmers' Market!

Among the many "Small Libraries," the FREE GARDEN LIBRARY STANDS ALONE! Hand painted by local art star Todd Anderson, it is a colorful celebration of the Garden spirit and is dedicated solely to high-quality books about food and gardening, including cook books.

BOOKS ARE FREE, EVERYONE IS WELCOME TO TAKE ONE!

The library will open May 23 and remain active during the Barryville Farmers' Market Season.

We cannot accept drop-offs, and please be aware we are only accepting high-quality books related to food and gardening, no fiction, or small paperbacks.
