Join us Friday September 19 for a special ticketed dinner event, Supper at the Club: Fried Chicken Feast & Pig Roast, featuring a Southern-themed menu crafted by of and Joshua Turka of & .

Tickets are $79 for Barre Social Club members and $99 for non-members. A maximum of 40 tickets will be available. Link in bio, or reserve at the club.

Doors open at 6pm, and guests will receive a special welcome drink. Dinner begins at 7pm. Family-style dishes include fried chicken, barbecue pork, oysters, cornbread, salad, coleslaw, greens, pimento cheese and toast, and banana pudding. The final menu will be announced in advance.

When we started this thing, we expected to show a lot of old black-and-white movies. Ones you may have seen 100 times, or maybe thought you should watch someday, but never did. Well, we’re finally doing it.

Limited spots are available for our very first Paint Your Partner ticketed event. We have space and supplies for five couples (10 people total) to join us for a casual artistic evening perfect for accomplished painters and first timers. You’ll begin with a blind contour drawing of your partner and then add color and detail as you wish.

Ticket price includes canvas and other paint supplies, plus coffee, tea and water from the kitchen. Other drinks available for purchase and outside food is welcome. Place an order early through or and we will arrange for it to be here when you arrive.

If you’re a member, thinking about becoming a member, or simply curious about what exactly we do here, please join us this Friday between 6-8pm for a Social Event to Plan Future Social Events. And bring a friend or two. We want to discuss a few of our ideas, listen to your ideas, and gauge interest for fall and winter activities in and around the club.

There will be a retirement party going on in the back room, but we’ll have some drinks and snacks available in the main space. Bring your Movie Night, Book Club and Game Night ideas, thoughts on wine tasting and food pairings, suggestions for a regular speaker series (we may have something in the works), entrepreneur meetups, live music, comedy and/or theatre, one-off special events, dinner and dancing, and more.

We want to do fun things with fun people (like you!), and hope to schedule them when it makes the most sense for the most people (including you!) – so let us know what you think!

Sometimes, a great idea is presented mere minutes after we publish the weekly newsletter.

Such was the case when a member reached out about hosting a watch party Saturday night for the 2025 USL League Two Final between Vermont Green FC and Ballard FC. If you couldn’t get tickets, join us!

Outside food is welcome, as are guests and friends. The game kicks off at 7pm, and we’ll have the bar set up and ready to go by 6. We’ll stay open until the final whistle and a champion is crowned.
