This past weekend marked 4 years of KMB! 🎉 Since last November, I:
• tripled the amount of live events with new agencies + brands including Yelp Providence, The Paper Store, Nordstrom + Kendra Scott
• did signage / day-of items for 14 weddings, 2 bridal showers, 3 birthday parties, 2 rehearsal dinners + a bachelorette party
• added hot foiling to my list of offerings
• did my first chalkboard menu job for In The Pink
• lettered on my first 2 bridal denim jackets
• did local pop-ups for Mother's Day, Small Business Saturday & the holidays at some of my favorite venues including Long Live Beerworks, Long Live Roxbury + Kitchen Sink Candle Company
• celebrated 2 years with Sip & Script
• held my first corporate class at
• lasered my first project for a flower bar cart for a bridal shower
• engraved so many special gifts for clients including tumblers, jewelry, glassware, liquor bottles, perfume/cologne, growlers, whiskey decanters, glass coasters + glass ornaments
• worked on some new surfaces like seaglass, baseballs, a silver piggy bank, luggage tags + scallop shells
• completed my biggest envelope job to date (ending in having to apply heat to my sore hand 😅)
• collaborated with other local businesses on projects including 2 cups with Cups 4 Cuties and a floral seating chart with Íntimo Floristry
• worked on my largest acrylic seating chart to date - 3x6' is big for a 5' girlie with a compact SUV 😂
• hit a PR on the latest I've ever stayed up to complete a project (7am - and I had to wake up at 8 LOL 💀)
It's hard to believe that just a few years ago I had picked up my first calligraphy book without knowing what would come of it. While this business can be a lot on top of my full time job + personal life sometimes, it's also the one thing that keeps me going. I truly feel lucky that I not only built a business around expressing my creativity, but that so many of you also enjoy what I create 🥹 The people I've met on this journey - clients, students, fellow business owners + wedding vendors, calligrafriends, couples and followers - mean so much to me.
