We appreciate the Detling Family for choosing Barnesville State Theater as a memorial option instead of flowers in the loss of their beloved Nancy. It was our honor to memorialize such a dedicated community servant who was one of own dedicated volunteers.

A few other shout outs to others that helped make this weekend's Movie Magic on Main successful:

The Village Of Barnesville for approving utilization of the Main Street Parking lot as well as the section of Main Street. Village of Barnesville, Ohio

The Barnesville Library and the Barnesville Shamrock Golfers that volunteered to coordinate the children's activities and golf putting fun. shamrocks golf

To the Barnesville Area Chamber of Commerce for allowing us to use the PA system to play movie theme songs and to announce the hot dog contest. Also for use of the tables and chairs. Barnesville Area Chamber of Commerce

We also want to thank the National Anthem singers (Landon Harris,
Peyton Steed, Linkoln Jendrusik) the bands Flushed and The Shuman Band that all braved the high temperatures to bring beautiful music to our event. All were amazing! We appreciate the singers as well as both bands for helping our theater and making our event a great one!

Saturday's Hot Dog Contest brought out a great crowd! A surprise entrant was last year's champion Hank Johnson who snuck into town on military leave to once again gobble down the most hot dogs and defend his title! His 12 hot dogs beat his record last year of 11!

Our 50/50 raffle had $308.00 with half of the sales being $154.00. Lucky winner was Sheryl Schaner who was so kind to donate her share back to the theater! Thank you Sheryl for being so generous. We appreciate your support!
