If you know Dirtwire, you know they’re extraordinary multi-instrumentalists. 🎻🥁🪕

But did you know one of the things David and Evan were most excited about as we planned the Dirtwire Summer camp out at the Hawk, was gathering around the fire for a community drum circle? ♥️

No stage.
No spotlight.
Just musicians and community coming together to play our hearts out around the fire.

The energy was palpable ✨

Watching the band jump into the circle, listen, respond, and jam alongside all of you was such a beautiful reminder that music is meant to be experienced fully. Some of our favorite moments of the weekend happened right here, with hundreds of hands keeping the same beat beneath the stars.

Here’s to more fires, more drums, more dancing and more moments that remind us how deeply music and rhythm flows through all of us, bringing us together in sync on and with the earth. 🥁🔥❤️

🌟 Introducing Starseed Sanctuary 🌟

A space where the youngest members of our community can play, create, explore and belong.

One of the things we’re most excited about at this year’s Dirtwire Summer Campou Starseed Sanctuary.

A dedicated space lovingly stewarded by our incredible Hawk mama, Sri, alongside a beautiful team of facilitators and volunteers.

Throughout the weekend, children (and the grown-ups who love them!) will be invited into a world of creativity, nature, movement and imagination.

Starseed Sanctuary is an inspiring space for your children to play, learn and connect with other children. We’ll be offering PlayShops and enriching activities led by skilled facilitators who genuinely love working with kids.

Rather than simply providing childcare, our intention is something much deeper.

We want families to experience this weekend together.

Parents are welcome to join in the activities, create alongside their children, meet other families and build lasting connections.
Whether you’re making dream catchers, exploring nature, painting rocks, flying through the air on aerial silks, building fairy houses or simply watching your little one discover something new, we hope Starseed Sanctuary becomes one of the most magical corners of the land.

✨ Throughout the weekend you’ll find:

🌿 Nature walks & games
🎨 Arts, crafts & creative building
🧚 Fairy houses & dream catchers
🌸 Flower crowns & earth altars
🎪 Aerial silks
🥋 Kids karate
🪄 Wand crafting..and so much more!

Each workshop will be supported by one lead facilitator and three dedicated helpers, creating a nurturing environment with plenty of loving hands and attentive eyes. Children of all ages are welcome, and parents can participate whenever they wish.

At Hawk & Hawthorne, we believe that regenerative community includes every generation. We want our children to grow up surrounded by music, nature, creativity, kindness and people who remind them that they belong.

💚 Kids 10 and under are FREE.
