We're excited to announce the addition of some dear friends joining us for the Dirtwire Summer Campout.

This July 17 + 18 we gather beneath sunset skies and fireflies. We’ll breathe clean mountain air, drink sweet spring water and gather around the fire on Ritual Hill for a beautiful weekend of music, connection and life on the land at The Hawk & Hawthorne.

A full weekend experience featuring two unique Dirtwire sets across the weekend, a late-night DJ set with David Satori, workshops, open village time, camping and a growing circle of artists, facilitators and friends.

With immersive stage production and Funktion One sound in the evenings -- and movement, land-based experiences, conversations and time to connect in all the natural magic that happens between the scheduled moments.

This one feels extra special.

We opened our wedding season last weekend with another gorgeous and well-held celebration of love. Congratulations Rachelle & Giancarlo!

Born in Liberia and shaped by years of civil war, Zondo found refuge in music and emerged with something deeply beautiful -- a soulful weaving of traditional Liberian roots rhythms, folk and songs born from resilience. His work is rooted in healing, unity and the spirit of *Ubuntu*:

We’ve loved getting to know Zondo's work over the years and are so excited to connect with him on the land this weekend. There is a gentleness and depth to his presence that is deeply felt.

Over the last few months, our newly expanded quartz terraces have quietly transformed the heart of our fire circle into a natural amphitheater. A place designed for evenings that feel less like attending a concert and more like gathering around an ancient hearth.

This Sunday we light the first fire 🔥

These smaller evenings often become our favorite kinds of gatherings.

Less separation between artist and audience, More moments where strangers become family around the fire.

Curious what gatherings at the Hawk and Hawthorne are like?

Here is a glimpse of the world we’ve been dreaming into being ✨

For one long, beautiful weekend the land came alive with music, movement, ceremony, campsites spring blossoms, feet on the earth, shared meals, laughter and music echoing through the valley.

People danced barefoot on Ritual Hill.
Mose and HAABITAT played sets to help us move our bodies, move energy, and joyously drift into the new season.
Children ran through the fields at golden hour.
Songs and ciphers drifted through the trees long after the stage went quiet.
Lanterns flickered.
Tents glowed softly beneath the forest edge.
And all around us was that rare feeling we keep searching for in this modern world — genuine belonging.

This film is a small window into the spirit of what we’re cultivating here:
a living sanctuary for beauty, connection, celebration and reverence for the living earth.
Music and movement as medicine, the balm that unites us all.

Deep gratitude to every artist, builder, volunteer, vendor, musician, fire tender, dreamer and traveler who helped weave the magic together.
