The weather is taking down some of the milo as you can see in the top photo. Not all bad as the birds can get to the seeds in the heads better. But now is when the heavier forage sorghum comes into play. It is weathering down nicely for the late season hunts.

What's the saying "iron sharpens iron". Here are some quick stats on ranked shooters attendance at a few of the matches around. The rankings come from the US ELR rankings sheet.
It's interesting to consider some of the things that make a match challenging, whether it is target size, weather issues, or abilities of the other competitors. Probably many more I'm forgetting at the moment.
If you want to get better, shoot with the best. This is another reason we need unification across all venues and matches so we can have a nation wide Finale, or whatever you want to call it, with the best of the best competing against each other. They, the top shooters, will be pushed to improve even more and we'll learn from them. Continued forward movement and progress.

Manners Composite Stocks is covering the cost of tuition and range fees. The only cost for the student is $220 for lodging and meals for the weekend.

Student's tuition and range fees are graciously being covered by Tom Manners. The only cost for the students is food and lodging at Spearpoint.

May 16-17 Light only. Saturday is a double elimination, seeded,
