Feeling grateful & blessed to have spent the morning with all these beautiful flower loving humans 💕 Floral workshops are one of my favorite parts of this business because I get to connect with so many wonderful people! I had multiple attendees from out of state, one florist, some experienced gardeners, others trying something new for the first time, and we even had a guest who was celebrating her birthday 🥳 🎉 I love sharing my passion for floral design with anyone who will let me! Thank you so much to everyone who came out to today for this workshop! If you missed it, I'll be hosting another workshop there next month (September 14th). The Dahlia Festival opens August 1st ya'll!! They have a beautiful workshop space, and I will be teaching two floral design classes there this year! The first class is on Saturday, August 8th from 10am-12pm. We will be using lots of Dahlias and other beautiful locally grown flowers to create a lush garden centerpiece in a quality ceramic vase that you will get to take home with you. All tools are provided, and you'll learn professional tips and tricks to create an elevated design and keep your flowers looking fresh for as long as possible. This is a fun, creative environment to practice floristry skills with no experience necessary! After class, you can enjoy all that the Dahlia Festival has to offer, including food carts, live music, and their beautiful gift shop! Ticket sales are open for my next floral design workshop! Click the "Blooms & Bubbles" link in my bio to purchase tickets through EventBrite. I'm excited to offer our first outdoor floral workshop of the season in the beautiful garden setting of Hillsboro's first historic outdoor event & wedding venue. No experience is needed, and all materials & tools will be provided along with step by step instructions for creating an elevated floral arrangement to take home with you. You will also leave with the skills and professional tips to be your own florist at home, whether you're cutting fresh flowers from the garden or picking up a few bunches at the grocery store. Invite a friend or bring your mom, sibling, or other family member along with you to enjoy an afternoon arranging flowers in the garden and sipping a complimentary glass of "bubbles." Small bites and non-alcoholic beverages will also be provided. Feel free to come early and browse curated backdrops and decor for events & table settings to see what Shorey House can provide for your future events! The "cake meadow" has become one of my favorite floral designs! It's a fantastic way to dress up a simple cake design and make your cake table stand out in the reception area. I've also arranged stunning designs like this one for birthday cakes! Consider dressing up your cake with a floral meadow at your next event 🎂

I am LOVING the pocket Boutonniere trend right now! Besides the fact that you get the look of a floral meadow growing out of your pocket, you also have the added benefit of not having to mess with pins and it holds up extremely well with all the hugs a groom gets on his big day! If your groom or groomsmen are not doing the traditional pocket squares, consider trying this unique trend to your wedding day. I'm a big fan!
