I believe it was Sylvester Stallone that said “it’s not how many times you get knocked down it’s how many times you get back up”

2025 is nearly over and I’m not mad about that…. Tbis year I lost to the heavens both my mom and my former partner Sara… Both losses effected me on another level….

Also In 2025, I officially closed the “Cardinals Nest” in Bangor… although we stopped being a full time restaurant 4 years ago due to Covid and the downtown road construction, we still regularily served some friday lunches and catered but mainly ran the food truck out of the Nest-and I always had ice cream and drinks available if people happened to stop by….. We always meant to get it opened back up, but we could never figure out logistics to making that happen and now with Saras recent passing… well that was the writing on the wall…

Worth mentioning:

just remember when you read a persons post or profile that doesnt mean you are reading real life, it means you are reading what they want to show you… My grandfather would never show weakness-and neither would my dad (reminds me of a “modern family” episode)…. call it old school but just know that everyone is internalizing something…. so be kind when you can! 💕

we loved this small town and enjoyed being in Bangor for 6 years and I will continue to support this community!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year Everyone!

Looking forward to seeing many of you again in 2026…. and yes, we are planning to return to serving Fort McCoy on a part time basis!

New Chapter: and go…..

(I realize I probably should have made this 2 separate posts)

its that time of year! If you haven’t experienced the train it’s good memory making-and a good cause! and there’s a handful places in our area that you can experience it. We are very lucky because this triangle goes through all three countries in the North American continent…. not many areas have as many stops within an hour or so of our house!

we are blessed to live here!

please bring a food donation for the train !
