Free Challah.

136.

This number is ping-ponging around my brain.

136 friends, neighbors, sons, daughter, sisters, brothers, husbands, wives, children.

136 people who were kidnapped - and are still being held hostage.

I want them all back.

I believe what I do while I am here on this planet matters. I believe it matters here, and I believe it matters in the spiritual realm.

Physically I cannot get them back.

Spiritually? I can build achdus the way I know how. By sharing.

We're making a bunch of challah this week.

In honor of the hostages.

They should be returned safely.

All of them.

Eitan Avraham ben Efrat is a 21 year old young man who was trying to save people at the Nova Music Festival when he was injured and captured. That's who I am davening (praying) for specifically.

Please join me.

If you are able to braid challahs I need help on Wednesday at noon this week (we're looking for 10 volunteers - thank you so much to last week's volunteers who were speedy, kind and brought a great deal of good energy to the whole project).

Last week we gave out 188 challahs.

If you can take 1 for yourself and then take more to share with people who could use a little bit of a challah "hug" - please do.

There are no qualifications for these challahs. Everyone can have. The rules:

1) They are free
2) 1 per household
3) you have to pick up (there are a few people on my list who want challah, but cannot pick up, if you are able to deliver 1 or 2 challahs, let me know).

The challahs this week are in honor of the hostages. May they all be returned quickly, safely, and whole.

It's the 9 days. The question of what to feed your family is a real one (there are some who do not eat meat during the 9 days).

So, we're going to help you out (we're good like that).

Fondue is honestly an awesome meal - it encourages people to try new things, as well as being delicious.

Or, maybe you just want me to come to your house and prepare it for you? Well, this week you have a chance, I will come with everything you need for an amazing fondue night for 4-6 people and all you have to do is enter the raffle - it's only $5 a ticket - and you can enter as many times as you want. The raffle benefits Ahavas Yisrael - you can either venmo*** me the $5 per ticket directly (you totally can donate $500 or $1,000, or $5, we're flexible like that), or donate directly on Ahavas Yisrael's page (https://ahavasyisrael.shulcloud.com/payment.php?pay_amount= )and screenshot the amount so I know how many tickets you get. A "celebrity" will be picking the winner Tuesday night. Then you can choose whether I come Wednesday or Thursday night to your house.**

We're doing this cool thing (ok, I think it's cool) where if you buy a 9 inch cheesecake for Shavuos ($60), we will give an individual sized cheesecake to a Single Mom (there's no limit, we will give out as many cheesecakes as orders we get). CY (and CY keilim for those who asked). Original, Brownie, "Oreo", Chocolate Peanut Butter, Chocolate and Strawberry.
