Some of you (ok a lot of you) have already noticed all apps were open, but here’s the official call!

Author, Vendor, and Volunteer applications for 2026 are open. You can find the forms at monsteroticabookcon.com

AUTHORS: Application deadline is 8/22.

VENDORS: If you apply before 8/22 you will be notified of the decision prior to tickets going on sale in September.

VOLUNTEERS: If you apply before 8/31 you will be notified of the decision prior to tickets going on sale in September.

I’m in the process of updating the website to reflect allllll the new info (and make it easier to read things), so if you see it’s a little sparse right now that’s why!

🚦Our Stoplight Lanyard System 🚦

Hey monsterf*ckers! In an effort to ensure everyone has a great time, we are using the stoplight system for our lanyards. Besides encouraging consent to physical interactions, it also helps to protect those worried about spread of illness.

As a side note, we are not requiring masks, but they will be amply available to anyone at the event who may want one or forgot to bring one!

𝐇𝐎𝐖 𝐈𝐓 𝐖𝐎𝐑𝐊𝐒:
When you check in at registration, please tell us what color lanyard you would prefer, based on your comfort level.

You can change this at any point during the weekend! If your needs change, come back to the registration desk to swap it out.

This system is in place so your consent level is front and center.

All participants are expected to respect these guidelines.

Over the past few weeks, in the wake of the 2024 election, emotions have been running high, including in the book world. With the security and wellbeing of marginalized communities coming into question, Monsterotica wants to make itself very clear.

We do not stand behind any sentiment or movement that strips human rights from anyone. Monsterotica will continue to support and welcome readers, authors, vendors, and other industry professionals in the monster romance space and beyond, including and especially those most vulnerable in our society.

We will not allow hate and prejudice to take up space at this event. Bigoted behavior will not be tolerated.

This is a friendly reminder that the ticket return window ends this week. If you need to sell a ticket after that it must be done in the official Facebook group.

🎟️Ticket Resale and Refunds🎟️
Unfortunately Universe does not give us access to the waitlist members so in an effort to be fair we will be allowing anyone who has extra tickets to “return” their tickets June 30, 2024. After that, all tickets must be resold via the official resale post in the 2025 Monsterotica Readers Facebook group.

If you purchased 2 tickets but only want to resell one then please note that. Once tickets are refunded you will not be able to repurchase unless you are on the waitlist.

Tickets may only be resold at retail price (plus fees). Anyone found to be reselling tickets at a price higher than retail value will be banned from the event and their ticket will not be refunded.

🎟️How the waitlist works🎟️
If 5 tickets become available, it will trigger an email to the waitlist that more tickets are available. Once tickets become available, it is first come, first serve so be on the lookout if you are on the waitlist.
