Baltimore Book Festival The 25th annual Baltimore Book Festival will take place September 27-29, 2024. The festival is produced by the Baltimore Office of Promotion & The Arts.

The Baltimore Book Festival features hundreds of author appearances and book signings, 100+ exhibitors and booksellers, non-stop readings on multiple stages, cooking demos by celebrity chefs, poetry readings and workshops, panel discussions, walking tours, storytellers and hands-on projects for kids, street theater, live music, and a delicious variety of food, beer and wine. September 28-30, 2018, 11AM-7PM

We’ll have copies of THR 17.3 on hand, which includes an excerpt from ’s new book on the poetry of Lucille Clifton, out now from . Don’t miss Kazim Ali in conversation with Joël Díaz on The Poetry and Poetics of Lucille Clifton, presented by on the Stage (shoutout to new THR advisory editor and alum !). Kazim’s also reading at 6:15 pm.

FEATURE ALERT! We are excited to congratulate the new Poet Laureate of Maryland, LADY BRION! She is the youngest Poet Laureate and the first spoken word artist in this role. Lady Brion is also the second black poet to have this appointment. We are so honored to have her at the where she will be sharing the stage with scholar/poet Kazim Ali amongst other amazing poets.
