One year ago today, we said goodbye to our founder and Chairman of the Board, Martin Resnick.

Mr. Resnick built Martin’s with vision and dedication, but it was his generosity, humor, and kindness that left the deepest mark on those who knew him. His legacy continues to shine through our employees and the countless lives he touched.

Today, on what would have been his 94th birthday, we honor our founder, Martin R. Resnick.

On June 20th, 1964, Mr. Resnick opened the first Martin’s location, Eudowood Gardens in Towson, Maryland. With vision, generosity and a “never say no” spirit, he built more than a company, he built a family.

Known to many as “Uncle Marty,” including the children of Riverview and Lansdowne Elementary Schools, his influence reached far beyond our venues. He dedicated his life to education, serving as the longest-tenured board member at Morgan State University. He supported countless community initiatives, such as the Mentoring Male Teens program and the Signal 13 Foundation.

His legacy continues through the “Martin’s Manner,” the dedication of our employees and the thousands of lives touched by his generosity and vision.
