Happy World Sexual Health Day Lovers!!!
💕Annually observed on September 4 since 2010. The 2025 theme for World Sexual Health Day is Sexual Justice: What Can We Do? Sexual justice exists when all people have the power and resources to make free and healthy decisions about their bodies, s*xuality, and reproduction, and have equal access to s*xual health services, including education and care.
💕Sexual health is relevant throughout a person’s life, through to adolescence and into older age – not only during their reproductive years.
💕Our s*xual health is affected by the quality, safety, and respect of our relationships: with oneself and other individuals, with family and friends, and the society in which we live, including the gender norms that shape our experiences. It is also dependent on fundamental human rights.
💕Sexual health is a state of physical, emotional, mental and social well-being related to s*xuality; it is not merely the absence of disease, dysfunction or infirmity.
💕Sexual health requires a positive and respectful approach to s*xuality and s*xual relationships, as well as the possibility of having pleasurable and safe s*xual experiences, free of coercion, discrimination and violence. For s*xual health to be attained and maintained, the s*xual rights of all persons must be respected, protected and fulfilled.
💕I am so proud to be a Sexual Wellness Educator and to be helping people in my profession! Empowering people in their body autonomy and pleasure is what I was born to do, but most people do not know what inclusive Sexual Health really means.
💕I believe Sexual Health MUST go beyond traditional views of simply avoiding disease or unplanned pregnancy and should include experiencing pleasure and intimacy when desired along with respecting the s*xual rights we all share.
