On Monday, October 12, the Mitchell County Farm Bureau Women's Committee made our quarterly delivery of goods to the Mitchell House. As usual, they were so delighted. We donated packages of pens, word find books, coloring books, boxes of colored pencils, baby wipes, bottles of body wash, boxes of Kleenex, 25 boxes of juices, and 45 boxes of cookies, honeybuns, Swiss rolls, crackers, individual apple pies, etc. How awesome that we can be a part of this ministry! We love the sweet residents of the Mitchell House!

Meet Barbara Harrell of Mitchell County!

She and her family operate their farm, and Barbara has always served as the farmwife and support to her husband. She is a retired school teacher.

In addition to her work on the farm, Barbara is an active leader in her community—serving as chair of her county Farm Bureau Women’s Leadership Committee, Agri Tourism Committee, and Chamber of Commerce for Blue Ridge Christian News

Today we had the opportunity to share some love with the residents of the Mitchell House in Spruce Pine. We brought them wet wipes, colored ball point pens, regular ball point pens, colored pencils, inspirational journals, lip balm, adult coloring books, word search books, cookies, snack cakes, lotion, fruit drinks, and apple juice. We are blessed to have this wonderful opportunity to share with these wonderful folks!
