NEW DOC TRAILER: The Uhleses! This was a 2-Day shoot, rehearsal/interview day & wedding day. It was great to spend some more time with everyone ahead of the big day, and get so many great interviews. Can’t wait to show more in the full doc, coming next month! 🙌🏻

Alright everyone… here it is. We’re officially rebranding to Ironfire Studio, LLC! 🔥🎉

Last year, I retired the name Cinematic Wedding Co. and needed something that gave me a little more room to grow. I had word-of-mouth clients who knew me personally, so I went with Jared Belt Media as a sort of placeholder. And it gave me flexibility to take on different types of work, beyond weddings.

But then something big happened.

I launched a new service: Wedding Documentary Filmmaking — literally filming your wedding day like a documentary. And it took off. Even in its earliest form, couples jumped in with full trust, and I can’t thank them enough. (Huge shoutout to David & Abigail for being the very first to dive in with me — their trailer’s up on my page and the full doc is dropping in a few weeks!)

Since then, we’ve shot several more, refined the process, and honestly… it’s become clear that this approach, as well as the other production ventures we’re heading into, and the team we’ve been building, needs more than just my name behind it.

So now, we’re doing it right.

🎬 Enter: Ironfire Studio.

This is now a full-service production company built around storytelling — from wedding documentaries to narrative films, sports content, branded work, photography, and digital products. All the irons in the fire 🔥

We’re just getting started. Another doc trailer drops this week. Full docs start rolling out soon.

And this FB handle will be changing soon too — but don’t worry, it’s still me behind the scenes. 😄

Gotta share some stills from the anamorphic footage shot at Austin & Maekenzie’s wedding last weekend. ☔️🎥

This year, I’ve started experimenting with Anamorphic lenses at weddings, and I gotta say…I don’t think I’m ever giving up this look. It’s too much fun. 🤩

Last week in Yosemite, something amazing and beautiful happened, and I just have to share some stills from the video we captured of it! Story below 👇

• The stills above were from the end of the day. We had a sunrise ceremony, followed by a great day of hiking and enjoying Yosemite, and I could share some stills from those parts of the day too (and I’m sure I will later), but right now, this is the moment I want to focus on. We were back at the AirBNB for an intimate reception. There were 9 people there that day, including the bride and groom, all of whom had traveled across the globe from the UK to be there. This was no small thing. I needed to hear from these people.

• At the airBNB, there was a bit of downtime, so I rounded everyone up outside, setup some mics and cameras, and gave everyone the opportunity to say a few words, share memories, feelings they had that day, anything. I was not at all prepared for how amazing that roundtable conversation would be!

• The conversation took a life of its own, and went on for nearly 45min. This was exactly what I was looking for; a fun and natural dialogue that could not only be a blessing to Sean and Lucy on their big day, but also provided me with priceless footage and audio that I can use to tell their story better I could’ve ever planned for.

• When we finished shooting that, I said “NOW we have a documentary.” And that’s exactly what we’re going to be making. Not a wedding video; a documentary, a film about them!

• I’ve said before that big things are coming for Cinematic Wedding Co. in 2024, and this is part of that. I am thrilled to announce that we are officially entering into the DOCUMENTARY FILMMAKING space!! We’ve added all new “documentary packages” to our services and we’d love to share them with you! Not only can we shoot your wedding day in doc style, complete with interviews, extra shooters, etc., we can take it even FURTHER, by filming other events leading up to the big day! 🗓️🎥 This could be things like the dress shopping, tux fittings, rehearsal/rehearsal dinner, the possibilities are endless!
