Well, here is where we are at. Finding a new venue. Our landlord died, and found out I was actually sub leasing the space. The owner has now evicted me, saying the lease was not legal. So, I will have court dates with both the former and current landlord holders. While trying to find a new location. Will keep all of you updated.

It with a heavy heart that I must say that the Comedy Mine will probably not open in 2017. The owners of the building continued to disrespect me, and not do the work they promised. So, I am looking for a new venue in Bakersfield to open the Comedy Mine.

As the man, comedian, entrepreneur trying to bring a comedy club to Bakersfield, I hate to report that it doesn't look like it's going to happen. While travelling to Bakersfield, my tire blew out. Costing me $110 now, and at least $200 in the near future for new tires.

When I arrived in Bakersfield to what was supposed to be a finished product, I come to find out my time was wasted.

A) The front doors haven't been replaced (already a bad sign).

B) Bathrooms still need work, including toilets that don't flush, sinks that don't give out hot water, and just a good ole fashion cleaning.

C) The floors were not prepped at all. There is paint, stains, and what not all over the place. It's quite painful to look at.

All these things I were told were done. So, now, I am forced to take legal action. Time to sue, and maybe the comedy mine can open in a new location in Bakersfield. Maybe!

Hey all, had a conversation with the property managers for the venue, and we came to an easy agreement. However, I still don't have my lease amendment, which is making me concerned. I will keep you updated, as have been more than ready to move forward, and bring Bakersfield a small but hilarious comedy club.

Unfortunately, the soft opening with Ira Summer and Sandra Risser will not go on as scheduled June 23rd and 24th. The building has not had any improvements, so I haven't been able to renovate the place. They will be extending the start of my lease, but the venue is unable to hold any functions at the time, and definitely won't be ready in 10 days.
