Halloween on the Green 🎃👻
What an unforgettable night on Winslow Green during Hometown Halloween! We had so much fun bringing this spooky, festive, and fun concept to life, and we hope it becomes a new Bainbridge tradition.

Huge thanks to Winslow Green for letting us transform the iconic gazebo into the heart of our haunted house, and to the amazing crew at Exceptional Homes by John L. Scott for their hard work and creativity (especially the wild vision of our hometown cider and real estate queen, Randi and her fantastic partner-in-crime, Alex ).

Endless gratitude to Bobby and Karey, Heart and Soul, and of course my husband Doug for being roped into yet another crazy, backbreaking project and making it all come together.

Our Oktoberfest banner is here—and so are two of the amazing humans who’ve poured their hearts into making this event real.

What began as a fun idea tossed into the concept pool by Amanda Pekasky, Director of Programs & Business Development at Bainbridge Island Rowing, along with Mary Agliam, Venue Coordinator for BIR, and me—Sam Christopherson, Founder and Executive Planner of Bainbridge Events—quickly took shape. Not long after, we connected with John Carson, Executive Director of the Bainbridge Island Downtown Association, and realized that if we joined forces, we could create something truly special for the community.

Months of planning, collaboration, and creativity later, Bainbridge Island Oktoberfest is happening THIS Saturday!

We’re incredibly grateful for the experience, the support from our community, and the volunteers helping make this event possible. Prost—we can’t wait to celebrate with you this weekend!

Bainbridge Island Oktoberfest is Almost Here!

Join us Saturday, October 4th from 2–8 PM at Stan Pocock Rowing Center for a full day of Bavarian fun, food, drinks, and family-friendly festivities.

    •    Stein-Holding Competitions (Women’s, Men’s & Kinder Root Beer) – Show off your strength.
    •    Costume Contests – Adults & kids, judged by our very own Mayor Ashley Mathews. Dust off your dirndl and iron those lederhosen—it’s time to show off your Oktoberfest spirit.
